Faye E. caught her reflection in her doctor's office glass doors one day as she was leaving an appointment to find out why she couldn't breath.

She said she wanted the doctor to "fix her." But, as she looked at her reflection, she realized she was overweight and that she wasn't doing anything to help herself.

"I'm a dedicated grandmother. I want to see my grandson finish high school and go to college," Faye said.

Today, she has maintained her weight for almost two years after losing nearly 40 pounds.

Now the spunky Irish-Italian 70-year-old grandmother, mother and "nanna" to a few local families is fit and energetic.
